Excursion to the Turkansa Island Outdoor Museum

Welcome to the Turkansaari Outdoor Museum! Duration of the tour 3 h. Driving distance from the centre of Oulu about 20 min.Group size 1-6 persons.We will pick you up at the destination of your choice in the centre of Oulu and drive to Turkansaari. The main themes of the museum, which is located on two islands in the Oulu River, are traditional agriculture and forestry, fishing and tar history in the Oulu region. The guide will tell you stories and give you information about Turkansaari, Oulu and the Oulu region. The outdoor museum is open from 5 June to 27 August 2023 Mon-Sun 10-17 and there is a café on the museum grounds open Wed-Sun 11-17. You can also buy a picnic pack and enjoy a picnic at the Turkansaari campfire site. Tickets are not included in the price of the tour, you have to buy your own ticket on arrival at the museum. Admission to the museum area is €10 per adult, free for under 18s. At the end of the tour we will take you back to the centre of Oulu.The tour can also be tailored to your needs and timetables can be changed. If you have a larger group, please ask for a quote.
